There are a number of Christmas traditions that are practiced throughout the world, during the Christmas season. These traditions can be as diverse as the culture and religious practices of each and every country in the world.

As the years roll by, many people find that they do exactly the same thing at and before Christmas. Done often enough this can lead to a beloved family tradition.
Each year, I have tried to buy a special Christmas ornament for our grandchildren. I began this tradition with our first grandchild and have stuck to it every year since.
Of course, the ornaments have changed throughout the years. In the beginning, the ornaments were more colorful including cartoon and Disney characters as well as unique Christmas ornaments that might feature the grandchild's current sport or favorite activity, but the tradition remains the same.
I might find one on Black Friday or may have to wait for the day after Christmas sales. Either way, I am finding great sales on ornaments and scooping them up for each child along with some great prices.
Sending the ornaments to be opened early in Dec. begins the excitement of the holiday season for the children not to mention that each grandchild now has a collection of wonderful Christmas ornaments of their very own.
When each of the children grows and leaves home, their special Christmas ornament collection goes with them. Using this collection they begin Christmas decorating in their own homes and will have memories of their grandmother that will last them their entire lifetime.
