No Room at The Inn
Christmas Story

Lets think back over two thousand years, to imagine what the Inn may have been like.

It was probably the Innkeepers own home. He may have had a couple of extra rooms, to rent out to travelers. This would have given him some extra money. I wonder if there were even beds. Probably just mats on the floor. Maybe there was room for several travelers in each room. We wonder if these mats were kept washed after each use, or the blankets, if they were provided. Probably each one just used his own cloak for a cover. My guess is that you paid for a roof over you’re head and four walls to keep out the wind and storm. There would have been no privacy.

But, I believe GOD chose a much better spot for his precious Son to be born. It was all in His plan.

We all know that animals will not eat hay that is old and dirty, so the hay must have been fresh and sweet smelling. The animals chewing and soft contented sounds must have been soothing to Mary as she went through labor. There was privacy and quiet. The animals breath and bodies must have warmed the area some.

Joseph could have held Mary’s hand and spoke quietly to her with no crowd of others to be at the birth of her son.

When Jesus was born, Mary could wrap Him in the Swaddling clothes, she had brought and lay him quietly, in the soft sweet smelling hay. She must have rested beside Him and gazed in awe at her beautiful new baby. All in the privacy of the stable.

I feel God must have planned it that way,
He chose the best for His Son.

NO room at the Inn.

Merry Christmas Wreath My vote is to have Christmas traditions all year round. You see at Christmas time most people at least the ones I have met, always change just a little for the better around Christmas. I do not know whether or not it is the great yuletide Christmas carols, the festive atmosphere everywhere you go, or just some hidden part in all of us that screams out,
( I BELIEVE IN MORE THAN WHAT I SEE AROUND ME. )
You see, somewhere deep down inside we all believe in something better than we now have or see, and most of us feel a lot better when we help someone. Whether the person is in need or not, this feeling is what I call the feeling of Christmas, and we all should strive to feel this way all year long.

Christmas 2011 is on December 25th and is the first Christmas of a new decade. The feeling of the Christmas holidays is truly all about family, friends and celebrating all things good.

"TREAT ALL OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM TREAT YOU"
"Merry Christmas"

Enhance your Christmas, with Christmas poems and stories highlighted with your favorite Christmas carols. Christmas traditions are fast becoming a family way of life.
Poems are a simple way of inspiring others to join in on the Christmas traditions that love and poems can bring to this Christmas holiday.

Christmas Traditions of Joy,
both big and small
so precious from the start,
are moments to recall
and treasure in the heart.
