Legend of the
Christmas Spider

One December, a mother was busily cleaning the house for Christmas. She swept every corner of every room completely clean, for she wanted everything bright and shiny in time for Christmas Day.

The spiders fled upstairs to the attic to escape the broom, for they knew she was far too busy to follow them up there.

On Christmas Eve, as soon as the house became quiet, the spiders slowly crept down for a peek. They scuttled into the living room and oh what a sight they saw!

A beautiful Christmas Tree! In their excitement they scurried up the trunk and out along each branch. They were filled with happiness as they climbed among its glittering beauty.

Christmas Spider TreeAlas, by the time they had finished climbing, the tree was completely covered with dusty gray spiders' webs.

Midnight came, and Santa Claus came with the gifts for the children. When he saw the tree, he smiled to see how happy the spiders were, but he knew how heartbroken the mother would be if she saw the tree covered with dusty webs. So he turned the gray spiders' webs to silver and gold.

The Christmas Tree sparkled and shimmered and was even more beautiful than before.
That is why we have tinsel on Christmas Trees, and every tree should have a Christmas spider in its branches.

Merry Christmas Wreath My vote is to have Christmas traditions all year round. You see at Christmas time most people at least the ones I have met, always change just a little for the better around Christmas. I do not know whether or not it is the great yuletide Christmas carols, the festive atmosphere everywhere you go, or just some hidden part in all of us that screams out,
( I BELIEVE IN MORE THAN WHAT I SEE AROUND ME. )
You see, somewhere deep down inside we all believe in something better than we now have or see, and most of us feel a lot better when we help someone. Whether the person is in need or not, this feeling is what I call the feeling of Christmas, and we all should strive to feel this way all year long.

Christmas 2011 is on December 25th and is the first Christmas of a new decade. The feeling of the Christmas holidays is truly all about family, friends and celebrating all things good.

"TREAT ALL OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM TREAT YOU"
"Merry Christmas"

Enhance your Christmas, with Christmas poems and stories highlighted with your favorite Christmas carols. Christmas traditions are fast becoming a family way of life.
Poems are a simple way of inspiring others to join in on the Christmas traditions that love and poems can bring to this Christmas holiday.

Christmas Traditions of Joy,
both big and small
so precious from the start,
are moments to recall
and treasure in the heart.
